Cathy started her first business, the Kids Therapy Network, in Melbourne in the late 90’s. She had two young children at the time – one at primary school and one in childcare – and her husband worked shifts as a chef.
The business grew quickly. But Cathy found herself working late nights and weekends to keep things going.
It was exhausting.
The stress was threatening to destroy her health. Being cranky was putting a real strain on her relationships. And the pressure of asking her family to help out all the time left Cathy questioning whether it was all worth it.
She realised that spending evenings and weekends writing client reports was not living her best life. And it certainly wasn’t going to help her achieve her dreams
Luckily, Cathy’s mentor gave her some advice…
Clinical knowledge and a hard work ethic will only get you so far.
So Cathy hired a bookkeeper, found some business software and began hanging out with the business owners she met at social events.
She noticed her new business friends did things differently...
